Reminder: Halloween

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all as excited as I am for HALLOWEEN on Wednesday October 31st!

We have so many fun activities lined up for Halloween, it's going to be a spooky and fun day!

Parents and grandparents, you are welcome to join us at school from 10:00-12:00 for our Halloween celebrations. If possible, please tell Teacher Cindy tomorrow if you or other family members will attend. We will have our Halloween fashion show from 10:00-10:30 and then go show off our costumes around the neighborhood and trick-or-treat at the nearby shops until 11:30! We are excited to take our new trick-or-treat bags out with us to collect candy.

Remember to wear your Halloween costumes to school or bring them so I and Teacher Cindy can help the students to dress up!

Please arrive at school on Wednesday at 9:00!

Thank you, and keep smiling!

Teacher Jennifer

Let's put on a Show!

In Watermelon Class we love the Theater!

This is great and fun for students to use their English in a creative and new way!

Including Dramatic Theater in our class schedule allows the students to benefit from a well-rounded ESL education. Practicing skits in class will allow students to further develop their English skills. They will practice reading, memorization and public speaking. The students will become more comfortable at speaking English in front of others.

The students will be given dialogues that they will learn to read, practice, memorize and finally perform in groups!

We will film all of the skits the students perform in class, and they will be put on our Watermelon Class Picassa Profile for you all to see! To view the videos please CLICK HERE

The students will bring their playbooks (where we keep all of our written skits) home to practice reading and performing with you!
