A Week in Photos (May 6-10)

Theme Class

New theme: Animals All Around! We drew our own flashcards. Michelle drew a seal and an owl.

After we made our own flashcards, we made this GIANT poster to have a place to put them!

Great work, Watermelon Class!!

Phonics Class

We learned new sight words this week, and our new password is ... NEW!

Allen and Michelle finished Part 1 of the Ants' Picnic on the Beach of their readers. They are moving along very quickly. Melody is also showing improvement with her own readers. Every time we read together, she needs less and less of my help!

Art Class

For this week's Art Class, we had a special Mother's Day project: heart bouquet! Melody is cutting out enough hearts to make 6 flowers.

Watermelon Class is serious when it comes to making a gift for Mommy :)

Allen and Michelle are putting the pieces together carefully.

Toys Show and Tell

Melody and Michelle speak and give lots of information about the toys that they brought to share.

Recently, Allen enjoys playing with these plastic building parts. He uses them to make new and unique toys to play with!

Park Day

What a hot day this was!! Watermelon Class loved being outside in such nice weather. Allen loves to steal Teacher Coco's sunglasses for himself!

Melody and Michelle helped Teacher Mandy relax in their spa! Melody gave Teacher Mandy a head massage, and Michelle painted her nails. Later, Teacher Micky also got a turn :D

Science Class

We talked about the differences between people, and how they make us all unique. It's okay to be different, because we are all special!! ^_____^

Cooking Class

This week, we made m&m chocolate cookies! Our hands are excellent tools that are perfect for forming dough into cute cookies.

Allen helps to mix an egg to add into the cookie mix. Everyone got a turn to help mix.

After adding one egg, it's time to mix the cookie mix into a dough. Mix, mix, mix, Michelle!

Then it's time to use our clean hands to roll it, and pat it (what song is this from??!!) into cute cookies, and add m&m chocolates in the middle.

Music Class

Learning a new song called "One Little Owl".

Dancing to "Where Has My Little Dog Gone?" We all have short tails!

New Songs

Today, we learned new songs in Music Class today!

The first is called "One Little Owl". Here is a video of the song!

The second is called "Where Has My Little Dog Gone?". Watermelon Class LOVED to DANCE along to this song!!

A Week in Photos (April 29-May 3)

Theme Class

We spent most of the week working on our skit. We started writing it on Monday, and we were able to record on Friday. If you haven't seen the videos yet, you can see them in THIS POST!

Phonics Class

We started the week with making a height chart, because Watermelon Class seems to be growing taller very quickly!

We played a new Leap Frog game to name vocabulary. This game was fun because we can pretend to be frogs ^_^

Michelle and Allen began a new story about ants in the beach. So silly!

Art Class

This week, we made our own clocks to learn to tell time in some Math classes.

Park Day

Too bad it rained again, but we all got to play together in the playground!

Science Class

We read a book about sinking and floating. At the end of the book, there was a Quiz to see what objects we think will sink and float. Excellent participation from Michelle and Allen!
