Graduation Rehearsals

Here are some videos from our graduation rehearsals! I took these videos so Michelle can still watch them at home for practicing. But I also want to show Mommy and Daddy how great everyone is doing. In the song videos, I am standing very far away and encouraged students to sing loudly so the audience can hear. I think Watermelon Class did a very good job!!! Everyone is singing so loudly!!!!! ^___^

A Week in Photos (July 1-5)

Here are the photos from last week. You can see the rest in the JULY PHOTO ALBUM.

New Friend
This week, we welcomed a new friend to Watermelon Class: Yumi!

She was able to learn "If You're Happy and You Know It" very quickly, and can perform graduation with us  ^_^

Yumi likes to play games with us  ^___^

Theme Class
This week, we began our new theme for this month: Summer Camping! We spent a lot of time talking about picnics.

What we have to do first is lay out the picnic mat so we have a clean place to sit outside.

And then we can share our picnic foods. What food do you like to eat?

Because it is cold outside, we learned how to build a campfire to stay warm!

Here is another creative campfire. We used donuts to represent the stones that we put around to protect ourselves from the fire.

And our favorite part of camping is EATING MARSHMALLOWS!!! Yummy!!

Art Class

We used leaves to make stamps! First, you paint on the leaf. And then you turn it around and put it on the paper to see the beautiful colors and patterns from the leaf. Wonderful!

Toys Show and Tell

4th of  July
Teacher Coco performed a wonderful and funny puppet show! She taught us some things we can eat or see on America's birthday ^____^

We played a fun game called "Pin the Stripe on the Flag". Students had to wear blindfold and can not see!!

Birthday Party
Happy birthday Teacher Micky and Teacher Coco!

We all celebrated, sang songs, and ate yummy cake together ^__^

A Week in Photos (June 24-28)

Here are the photos from last week. You can see the rest in the JUNE PHOTO ALBUM.

Theme Class

Close your eyes, Teacher Coco has a surprise for you...

Itt's our explorer telescopes!!!

We are writing our Explorer skits. Allen is a pirate. Michelle is a  mermaid.

 Wonderful drawings!

Students read their skits, and asked a question to the audience in the end. You can see the videos here!

Art Class
We made yellow submarines that travel in the ocean1
First, we had to paint he blue ocean water.

Then, we used white paint and circle things to stamp bubbles.

Melody used different circle-shaped toys, and swirled them in the white paint!

Everyone swirled!

Next, we cut out the yellow submarines, and added colorful windows so you can see outside the beautiful ocean fish!

It's time to put our submarines in the ocean.

Watermelon Class looks happy!

Science Class
What shape sailboat will travel on the water better? Square sails or triangle sails?

We all first made our predictions. Teacher Micky and Melody thought square is better. Allen and Michelle thought triangle is better. Let's find out!

We blew like the wind!!!  Watch the square sailboat GO!!!

Allen takes a DEEP BREATH.

Yay, square sailboat wins!

Then we tried to fan the sails because we got tired from blowing so much >_<

Cooking Class
This week, we  made banana sago. Watermelon Class was actually excited to eat sago! But....

Well, first we cut banana slices.

And  then we poured coconut  milk into the sago. Allen tasted it and said "not yummy" >_<

Michelle tasted it and said "not yummy". Melody tasted it and said "not yummy". Oh no! At least we tried ^___^'....

Practicing for Graduation
Students are getting better memorizing their speeches.

I brought in more props this week to practice with.

Allen and Michelle also practiced the graduation ceremony, and receiving their certificates and flowers.

We also practiced to sing and speak LOUDLY!!

We even got to change into our costumes for rehearsals!!  ^___^

Michelle's Goodbye Party

We made a special card for Michelle. Melody is coloring beautifully, a special card for her good friend.

Allen brought yummy candies to share. Thank you Allen!

Michelle says she feels sad to leave Watermelon Class.. We will miss her a lot!

It's  a good thing Michelle was the Little Teacher on her last day!!  ^_^

Looking through her card brings back many happy memories. Michelle, see you at graduation!
