A Week in Photos (August 5-9)

Theme Class

We love to play Big Bad Wolf games! This time, Allen is the Big Bad Wolf, and he is testing Melody and Joy if they know their vocabulary words. 

We are thinking of stories to share during Circle Time. Allen and Melody enjoy sharing their stories, while Joy and Yumi are practicing to share stories in English as well.

Students love to practice their skits with the puppet theater. We are really in a show!


Phonics Class

 Melody and Allen continue reading their readers. Allen is just about finished, and even reads ahead when he takes it home. Melody is finishing up Book 5. Great job!


Art Class

Melody is so excited to make a gift for her daddy on Father's Day! 

Everyone is working seriously, and decorating with things that they think their daddy will like.

 Wonderful picture frames!

 I'm sure Daddy was very happy to receive a thoughtful gift ^___^


Toys Show and Tell

 This was Yumi's first time to show a toy. She forgot to bring a toy, but that's OK. I told her she can borrow a toy from school!

This was also Joy's first time to share her toy. She does a wonderful job to copy what I say. Later, she will be able to speak by herself! Allen brings so many BIG Lego's recently. He builds them himself. 

Park Day

Science Class

 This week, we learn about balance.

Melody and Yumi see how long they can balance on one foot.

We also try to balance things on our head. So cute!

Cooking Class

 Teacher Mandy taught everyone how to make hot dog sandwich.

Kids love ketchup!

Fun Day with Apple Class

I was not at school on Thursday and Friday, so Teacher Mandy combined classes. There are so many students now!

Skit #11: Summer Camp

Here is the video of our Summer Camp video skit! It was only Allen and Melody this time, while Joy and Yumi watched. But they also began to remember the lines because we had rehearsed a few times already!

Phonics Class

We can feel  vibrations in our throat when we say "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" 

Art Class

 We drew lines on the paper so we know where to cut. 

Then we made stoppers to put in the middle of our fun summer pinwheels! 

Toys Show and Tell

Park Day

We haven't gone to the park in such a long time!!!

Allen looks great running around with Apple Class! He kept saying "hello, I am the bad man" and Apple Class police officers chased him around the playground ^___^ Allen is a fun big brother! 

Melody didn't run around with everyone this time. She played a quiet maze game with Teacher Coco.   

 Wow Allen, you are sweating too much!!

Science Class

This week, we went on an excavation and dug out our fossils!

We dug out so many, and put them in the museum for everyone to see and admire! ^__^

Cooking Class

This week, Teacher Mandy taught us to make happy strawberry sandwich. First, we spread strawberry jam on toast.

Then we used the jam like glue to make a happy face! 

What a funny face! Melody usually does not like to eat strawberry jam. But she enjoyed eating strawberry sandwich because it looks so fun!

Goodbye Teacher Coco

We were sad to say goodbye to Teacher Coco. We will miss her! 

We will always remember how much Teacher Coco enjoys to make the kids laugh ^_____^

Goodbye Linus

 We also said goodbye to our Apple Class friend Linus. He is moving, so he cannot come to our school anymore. Everyone sang "You've got a friend in me" for him, and it was wonderful!

New Friend: Joy

We have another new friend named Joy! She is Melody and Yumi's age. She still doesn't know how to speak English, but with our help, I'm sure she will learn very quickly!!
