A Week in Photos (May 20-24)

Here are some photos from the past week. The rest can be seen in MAY PART 1 and MAY PART 2. We have been enjoying taking many pictures this month, wow! Enjoy!

Theme Class

This week we talked about the different habitats and homes of animals!

Before we watched videos on iPad, we talked about the animals that we were about to see.

We played a  game that helps to practice asking and answering questions.

We also went exploring for animals! Check out our cool binoculars!

There were so many animals to see in the classroom!!

Phonics Class
We played writing and reading games to practice all long vowels. Melody and Michelle always help each other! ^___^

Teacher Micky will say a word, and students have to find the letters to build the word. Great job!

We practiced sorting beginning letters of vocabulary words. This was a crazy game! I timed the students sorting letters, and each time, students were faster and better. Wow!

Don't get eaten by the Big Bad Wolf!! Rawwrrrrr!!!

Art Class

We made owls in this week's Art Class! We used our fingers to put glue on the feather pieces to stick to the owl's body. Whoo whoo! I hung the finished owls from the ceiling and it looks like they are flying high!

Toys Show and Tell

Park Day
We have fun in the indoor playground!

Be careful, Allen!!

Science Class
This week we tested different activities to see if we are more dominant with our left or right side.

Some things we  did were kick and throw a soft dice!

We also checked our winking skills ^___^

Some students can use both  sides equally!

Cooking Class
We made miso soup in this week's Cooking Class! First, you put in the miso soup paste. Then we add some seaweed.

After we added hot water, we slowly and carefully mix it together.

After it cooks for a few minutes then we can eat!!

Silly and Fun

We like this fun new game! We dance around long vowels and when the music stops, we have to pick one up and read it. Can you think of new ways to dance around??
